Kiekhaefer Trails
During the winter months Kiekaefer is 120 acres of sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails. Snowmobiles also utilize one of the trails. The skiing, hiking, snowshoe and snowmobile, trails start after a large field area near the main lot.
The snowboard/sledding hills are near the parking lot and 1/2 mile into the trail system on the left. Some of the hills near the lot are extremely steep and dangerous and are not recommended for snowboarding or sledding.
The right most trail is for snowmobilers and is marked accordingly. The skiing trails are clearly marked. However, hikers are frequently found walking on the ski trails too. I believe the ski trails are occasionally groomed but in most cases are in only fair to good condition, do to all the foot traffic. PLEASE do not hike on ski trails.
