Cut-Off
Novice skiers can use this if they feel the turn on the green trail is to difficult.
Unheated Shelter
This shelter is mainly used in the summer by trail system hikers. Note: Hiking is not allowed on the ski trails in the winter.
Trail Head
Parking and bathrooms are available here. Most people start from this lot. However, if starting with a steep downhill sounds tempting, park at the Ice Age Center and enter the trail system on the yellow trail.
Down Hill
Nice long down hill section where speeds can reach 20mph on a good day. Watch out, towards the bottom there 's a dead tree that I nearly hit every time.
Second Half of Yellow Trail
The second half of the Yellow trail is not quite as intense as the first half. This section usually is in better condition than the first half, when snow cover is light.
Scenic Overlook
Beautiful overlook of the country side. It's worth getting up early to see the sun rise here.
Long & Steep
A long climb begins here. The steepest section is first. If your heart isn't pounding after this you're probably already dead.
Scenic Overlook (Toboggan Run)
This overlook on the yellow trail provides an astounding view of the countryside. This is the beginning of a fairly fast curving downhill section. The DNR removed the section of the trail with the sharp turn, making this section safer for all skiiers.
Ice Age Center
Visitors discover the history of the northern kettle moraine area in this mini museum. You can also pickup a yearly state park sticker here.
