Trail Reporters Needed For Zillmer Ski Trails
HELP needed!! I'm looking for cross country skiers who would like to post trail condition reports for Zillmer ski trails. Anyone with a Twitter account may post trail reports from the Twitter web site or from their cell phone. Skiers with cell phones and texting (sms) capability are highly encouraged to send tweets from their phone! Zillmer Trail Distances
The yellow signed loop is 5.4 miles; the green is 1.8 miles; the red is 3.0 miles; and the brown is 1.2 miles.
Zillmer Trail Difficulty
Skiing is difficult on portions of every loop, except the brown. The yellow has many challenging hills and is by far the most difficult to ski. The red and green loops are about the same difficulty with regards to hills, and the red being longer.
Zillmer Trailhead Location
Zillmer picnic and parking area is on Hwy SS, one mile west of Hwy 67 in Fond du Lac County Wisconsin. The trail system can also be accessed from the Ice Age Center, located on Hwy 67. If entering the trail system at the Ice Age Center you will be starting on the difficult section of the Yellow trail.
Zillmer Trails Fees
A daily or annual State Park vehicle admission sticker is required. There is a self-pay station at the trailhead on Hwy SS. You can also purchase yearly stickers at the Ice Age Center on Hwy 67.
